HOW I SIGNED $37K WITH LESS THAN 5K FOLLOWERS ON LINKEDIN

Monetizing your LinkedIn presence is a combination of strategy and skill.

 

When I started, I didn’t have a strategy.

 

I wasted 12 months posting content with no traction.

 

But as an agency founder, I’ve been building my sales skills.

 

Recently, I signed $37k worth of projects from LinkedIn in just 2 months.

 

I'm sharing with you 3 tips that have led me from having no knowledge of LinkedIn to signing high-ticket projects for my service business.

 

1.Ditch Virality

 

I used to obsess about getting that viral post.

 

I always look at my post impressions and feel bad seeing low numbers.

 

I’ve got some posts that got 10k to 20k+ impressions but that’s it.

 

And yet, when I shifted how I write content, I got more monetization results from LinkedIn.

 

It started when I ditched chasing virality.

 

Instead, I focused more on writing targeted content.

 

Here are a few hooks that got me several inbound leads:


 




These posts don’t strive to go viral.

 

They are meant to get inbound leads.

 

2. Write Targeted Posts

 

Going back to my sample hooks, here are some key things I want you to notice:

 

  • All these are targeted posts.

  • I’m only appealing to my audience.

  • The hooks resonate well with my market.

 

To monetize your LinkedIn, you need to write more targeted posts.

 

And your ability to write a post that attracts your market relies on your clarity about your audience.

3. Sell Without Selling

 

Generating leads is crucial.

 

But what you do next with that lead is equally important.

 

Starting as a service professional, I hated selling.

 

I realized it was because I was approaching sales the wrong way.

 

  • Sending cold DMs

  • Being pushy and pitchy

  • Accommodating everybody

 

Throughout the years, I strived hard to master sales without selling.

 

I do that by treating sales as a series of conversations.

When a lead comes, you need to uncover 4 things:

 

  1. The need

  2. The goal

  3. The budget

  4. The urgency
